Oostwegel collection and brand launch new beer: heritage blond 

The partnership began with the founding of Oostwegel Collection in 1980 by Camille Oostwegel Sr. Since then, we have been closely connected, sharing a profound appreciation for cultural heritage. For over 40 years, Oostwegel Collection has been restoring national monuments in South Limburg into exceptional hotels and restaurants. At Brand, tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation are central, which is why they experiment with the development of special beers like Heritage Blond in their microbrewery in Wijlre, Limburg. Heritage Blond has a strong local signature and includes apple juice made from the apples of the orchard at Château St. Gerlach.  

The result is a fresh beer that is easy to drink and perfect for beer and food pairings. In addition to local apple juice, the beer contains paradise seed and Citra hops. Camille Oostwegel, owner and general manager of Oostwegel Collection is proud of Heritage Blond: “The beer illustrates the rich history of both our companies. We already offer our guests a wonderful local experience by working with products from our own vegetable gardens in our restaurants, and we have a long-standing collaboration with St. Martinus vineyard in Vijlen for our house wines made with grapes from the vineyard at Château St. Gerlach. I am truly looking forward to now also letting our guests taste the flavour of Limburg in a beer.”
