About the Role
Located on the edge of the Ingendael nature reserve, the five-star Château St. Gerlach perfectly reflects its extraordinary surroundings. Our estate has been carefully restored and features stunning hotel rooms, a modern event venue, Restaurant Les Salons, Café Burgemeester Quicx, and a boutique spa.
As a Supervisor Banqueting, you are part of the events team and ensure that meetings, seminars, and celebrations run smoothly.
Your key responsibilities include:
Acting as the main point of contact for guests, guiding them throughout their stay at Château St. Gerlach
Working at a variety of events, including meetings, dinners and weddings
Handling a wide range of tasks, depending on the type of event, with a flexible schedule
Preparing, executing, and overseeing while leading the team
Maintaining the high standards of quality of Château St. Gerlach alongside the events manager
Contributing to Oostwegel Collection’s sustainability goals, including achieving and maintaining Green Key and B Corp certifications, along with all related tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for someone who:
Has experience in a restaurant or hotel at a comparable level
Is flexible with working hours and has a hands-on mentality.
Is hospitable with a keen eye for detail
Has strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable attitude
Holds a complete MBO degree in hospitality or has gained equivalent experience through relevant work
Speaks excellent Dutch and English; German and French are a plus
